Dear Friends of The Howley Foundation,

As a graduate of Gilmour Academy, I understand the impact that a Gilmour education can have on a student’s future. I’ll be forever grateful for the strong academic foundation I received there. It’s because of my time at Gilmour that I’m so passionate about the importance of a well-rounded education.

Gilmour offers the tools needed to change the trajectory of a student’s life through a college-preparatory education. They are dedicated to sustaining a diverse and inclusive school community. In deciding to make an unprecedented gift to Gilmour in support of several initiatives, The Howley Foundation did not hesitate. We know our donation will be used wisely.

It’s because of the confidence we have in the teachers and administrators at Gilmour that we pledged to significantly increase the Howley Scholars program, which provides multi-year scholarships to deserving students—a program we introduced at Gilmour in 2005 and plan to sustain for generations to come. Additionally, a portion of our donation will be used to enrich the sense of community throughout Gilmour’s campus with significant capital improvements. Another piece will support the salary of Gilmour’s wraparound coordinator to help with student retention and success.

On behalf of everyone at The Howley Foundation, we are honored to play such an important role in shaping Gilmour Academy’s future. Investing in their students and their facilities is our way of opening doors for deserving kids and paving their way to a brighter future.
